AR500 Armor Adaptive Plate Insert

 

The Adaptive Plate Insert allows you to run 8"x10" and smaller plates in AR500 Testudo and Veritas-series plate carriers.

If you’re looking for a solution to reduce armor size in your AR500 Armor Testudo Gen 2, Testudo lite, Veritas, or Veritas Lite plate carrier, consider AR500's Adaptive Plate Insert. The Adaptive Plate Insert, formerly known as the Trauma Plate Insert, dramatically increases versatility by allowing you to easily create an in-conjunction armor system, reduce armor size, or add soft or hard trauma plates for heart and vital organ coverage.

One example of a lightweight, smaller armor rig would be to run Hybrid IIIA 10”x12” body armor in your Veritas plate carrier and use the Adaptive Plate Insert with AR500 Armor® III+ lightweight 6”x8” armor as a trauma plate/speed plate to maintain coverage of your heart.

The Adaptive Plate Insert is compatible with both front & rear pockets, and accommodates 6” x 6”, 6” x 8”, and 8” x 10” ceramic, steel, or polyethylene armor, trauma plates, or speed plates. Simply attach the insert to the attachment panel on the inner pocket of your Veritas™ or Testudo™ (Gen 2) plate carrier for your custom configured armor setup.

The Adaptive Plate Insert will place your body armor at the top of the plate carrier for ideal right height, and does have room for adjustment to ensure a perfect fit. Inner plate retention straps and guides ensure a secure armor fit with all compatibles sizes.
